Experience

2000 to Present        Internet Services Coordinator for San Jose/Evergreen Community College District. Webmaster for District web applications; created user and author accounts, administered Windows IIS 4 and IIS 5 Servers, Windows FrontPage extensions and application training for authors on internet and intranet sites. Migrated Windows 2000 versions of Server and Office applications from the NT 4.0 environment.

1998 to 2000           Computer Training and Documentation Specialist for East Side Union High School District Information Systems’ extensive training and support program for a consortium of school districts through a complete update of the student data management system. Provided training classes in Word, Excel, SASIxp and FileMaker Pro. Created online training and support materials while conducting extensive Help Desk support. Created and maintained the training and information website.

1997 to 1998           Staff Secretary for Special Education at the East Side Union High School District office. Secretarial and clerical support for the Program Specialists. Responsibilities included facilitating transportation for students with learning, emotional, and physical handicaps, creating and maintaining database files to reflect transportation and program changes for accounting purposes. Familiar with Special Education law, programs and terminology in the State of California.

1996 to 1998           Instructor for Adult Education, teaching Community Education classes for Excel, Word, Introduction to Computer hardware and software, and the basics of HTML.

1996 to 1998           Career Center Technician. Set up and maintained LAN hardware and software for career-oriented software. Created website to facilitate student career and employment information. Assisted student resumes and cover letters. Selected and maintained print, audio, video, and software library of career and personal development materials; arranged and promoted career/college presentations and field trips, as a major resource for career/college information and software training to students and staff.

1995 to 1996   Library Technician. Set up, maintained, and supervised computer network for student research, using Macintosh and IBM software and hardware. Selected and maintained print and multimedia materials for high school library; publicized and monitored tutoring program in the library.

1990 to 1995   Special Education Instructional Aide. Assisted in mainstream and sheltered educational settings; initiated, conducted and monitored study groups; instructed students in the proper use of computer equipment; proctored and corrected academic tests. Duties included organizing, and maintaining confidential student files, creating overhead transparencies and PowerPoint materials for lectures and staff presentations. Facilitated support groups for students in the Special Education program, co-facilitated parent support groups, and instructed staff members throughout the school district in support group facilitation.

1984 to 1988   Production Manager for HTA Enterprises, a custom photomask manufacturer for the semiconductor industry. Supervised production over two shifts, created and maintained production logs, quality control processes and documentation.Ppublished in-house procedural and training documentation. Provided customer support, assisted in the preparation of sales presentations, and maintained customer specification files. Responsible for purchasing equipment and raw materials for production.

1977 to 1984           Electron Beam photolithograhy Specialist for MicroFab Systems Corporation, a full service photomask supplier for the semiconductor industry. Supervised second shift operators in computer-assisted design and step-and-repeat manufacture of microcircuitry; assisted in the planning, mapping, and production of sub micron microcircuitry on glass substrates.
