Detailed Work Experience

2000 to Present -- Internet Services Coordinator for San Jose/Evergreen Community College District. Webmaster for District Intranet web applications; administered Windows IIS 4 and IIS 5 Servers, Windows FrontPage extensions, Dreamweaver and application training for authors on internet and intranet sites. Migrated Windows 2000 versions of Server and Office applications from the NT 4.0 environment. Digital still and panoramic photography, and video.

Computer Training and Documentation Specialist for East Side Union High School District Information Systems’ extensive training and support program for a consortium of school districts through the upgrade to a new student data administration system. Conducted training classes in Word, Excel, SASIxp and FileMaker Pro. Created print and online training and support documentation while conducting extensive help desk support. Created and maintained the training and information website and newsletter.

Staff Secretary for Special Education at the East Side Union High School District office. Secretarial and clerical support for the Program Specialists. Responsibilities included facilitating and coordinating transportation for students with learning, emotional, and physical handicaps, preparing documentation to track and support transportation; creating and maintaining database files to reflect transportation changes for accounting purposes. Familiar with Special Education law, programs and terminology in the State of California, including local requirements.

Instructor for Adult Education, teaching Community Education classes for Excel, Word, Introduction to Computer hardware and software, and the basics of HTML.

Career Center Technician. Set up and maintained LAN hardware and software for career-oriented software. Created website to facilitate student use of career information and employment opportunities. Assisted students writing resumes and cover letters. Arranged and promoted through announcements, flyers and posters career/college presentations and field trips, acting as a major resource for career/college information and software training to students and staff.

Library Technician. Set up, maintained, and supervised computer network for student research, using Macintosh and Windows software and hardware; publicized and monitored tutoring program in the library, maintaining student and tutor contract records.

Special Education Instructional Aide. Assisted teachers and students in mainstream and sheltered educational settings; initiated, conducted and monitored study groups; instructed students in the proper use of computer equipment; proctored and corrected academic tests; calculated and recorded student grades. Duties included creating overhead transparencies for PowerPoint presentations. Facilitated support groups for students in the Special Education program, co-facilitated parent support groups, and instructed staff members throughout the school district in support group facilitation.

Additional Experience

Production Manager for HTA Enterprises, a custom photomask manufacturer for the semiconductor industry. Supervised production, created and maintained production logs, quality control processes and documentation. Established and published in-house procedural and training documentation. Provided customer support, assisted in the preparation of sales presentations, and maintained customer specification files. Purchased equipment and raw materials for production groups.

Electron Beam photolithograhy Specialist for MicroFab Systems Corporation, a full service photomask supplier for the semiconductor industry. Supervised second shift operators in computer-assisted design and step-and-repeat implementation of microcircuitry; assisted in the planning, mapping, and production of sub micron microcircuitry on glass substrates.
